Sunshine, lemonade, & fun!

That was the theme for the day, and that's exactly what came to be.

Party planning is not for the faint of heart lol, especially when you're a diy perfectionist like me. Nap time for the past 2 weeks has been full on craft time :')

The day started off pretty windy and may or may not have caused a little tension between Kota and I while setting everything up (ahem stupid tablecloths and streamers).

There may be so much tape on the tables and tacks in our fence that we'll never find them all, but overall, I'd say it was a successful first party for us all.

Peylee napped away until everything was set up, and when she woke up she was greeted with a house full of people and a yard full of birthday surprises! She could've cared less of course- she would have been perfectly happy playing with her toys that we already had in the backyard, but she was definitely excited about her new presents!

We're beyond thankful to everyone who helped make this party happen, and to everyone that came to celebrate our sweet girl. We still can't believe she's one!

P.S. Unless you're a photographer, you probably won't even notice, but if you are, you'll have to excuse my bad lighting. The sun was directly over us and there was no shade in sight! Ugh, harsh shadows!

How cute did her smash cake turn out?! I told Kota to not add baking to my resume lol (thanks mom!), but I had the vision and I think my topper(s) and high chair banner turned out pretty darn cute!
